As an experienced senior leader in the UK’s premier boarding schools, Clement Donegan has been entrusted with every dimension of school life: academic excellence, staff leadership, pastoral care, safeguarding, and co-curricular distinction. His previous roles include Senior Deputy Head, Deputy Head (Boarding and Pastoral), Director of Football, Designated Safeguarding Lead, Boarding Housemaster, and teacher of Chemistry and Mathematics, providing him with an intimate understanding of how elite schools evaluate, select, and nurture their pupils.
As a former Schools Inspector, Clement brings a unique perspective on institutional quality, governance standards, and the rigorous criteria by which schools are judged. This insight proves invaluable when advising families on placement decisions, and when supporting schools in their strategic development and inspection readiness.
Clement’s international admissions work across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East has given him a deep understanding of the expectations of global families, and the cultural considerations essential for successful transitions into the UK system.
As a contributor to the Headmasters’ and Headmistresses’ Conference (HMC), including the development of the national Deputy Heads’ Conference, Clement has helped shape leadership practice across the sector, establishing trusted relationships that span Britain’s most prestigious schools.
